Responsible Care

Responsible Care is the Chemical Industries own unique voluntary initiative to ensure that we continue to raise standards. 

Every SIA member company is fully committed to the Responsible Care programme and is also a member of either the Chemical Industries Association (CIA) or the Chemical Business Association (CBA, formerly the BCDTA).

Through the specifically solvents-focused activities of the SIA, every member is provided with the advice and guidance to comply with the latest legislation and best practise initiatives. 

Every member is encouraged to share this knowledge with all parties that come into contact with their solvent products.

Close cooperation is maintained with the UK's Health & Safety Executive (HSE) resulting in co-written best practise procedures and / or jointly-funded initiatives.
