Legislative Update

In the UK Suppliers, Manufacturers, Distributors and Users are all likely to get involved with the UK regulatory authorities (Health and Safety Executive or Environment Agency).

This places a legal duty on all those within the supply chain to ensure that processes, practices and procedures are carried out in a safe manner. The SIA support members by developing cross sectional guidance, where appropriate, with inputs from industry and the regulators.

The links will take you to the respective pages of both the EA and the HSE. It is good practice to monitor these sites for updates at least every couple of weeks.

The HSE have recently introduced a new Policy for publishing updated legislation with the intention that this takes place only twice per annum via the website in the Spring and Autumn.
