Safe Handling of Solvents by SIA and ESIG
The Solvents Industry Association, SIA, has joined forces with the European Solvents Industry Group, ESIG, to produce a DVD to provide users of solvents with a simple guide on handling solvents safely in the workplace. This DVD is very much aimed at persons working on the shop floor, particularly those end-users operating in small and medium sized enterprises.
The DVD contains 5 versions - one version for each of the following languages : English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Each of the videos is about 10 minutes long, and can be viewed by clicking here.

REACH
The "Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of CHemicals" is the biggest single piece of legislation ever to come out of the European Union.
All players within the solvent supply chain will have responsibilities and need to shoulder some of the burden of REACH : whether that be a more detailed understanding of end-uses, or risk assessments, or the provision of Safety Reports.
